OPENING RECEPTION FRIDAY OCT 5TH 6 TO 10 PM

ON DISPLAY THROUGH OCTOBER 31ST

Robin says: "Art defines my physical and spiritual existence. Painting gives me insight, provides comfortand nourishment and confers a means to synthesize and comprehend this challenging andpainful world. Life, energy, color and the spacing of forms captivate me. Most recently I have been inspired by the imaginative landscapes and strong color and forms used by the German Expressionist painter Gabrielle Munter; she studied with Kandinsky and was a founding member of the Der Blaue Reiter painters. Painting has been my mode of expression since I began taking watercolor lessons at the age of six. After earning a BA in Art Studio from UC Davis, my career brought me to intellectually challenging employment in libraries, archives and museums, but true fulfillment came with continued painting in watercolor, gouache, acrylic and most recently oil and studying with Bay Area painters including Vesta Kirby, Rob Anderson and Anthony Dubovsky."
